Where do tours meet?
Tours meet on the north side of the Old Exchange and Provost Dungeon located at 122 East Bay Street. It is at the intersection of East Bay Street and Broad Street. There is a large oak tree providing plenty of shade before we start our tour. Please note that due to tour schedules and for the courtesy of others in the group, tours will leave promptly as scheduled.
Where do tours end?
Discover Charleston! ends where the tour met, outside the Old Exchange and Provost Dungeon.
Real Hauntings of Charleston! ends at the corner of East Bay Street and Cumberland as it is a busy well lit area with great bars, cafes and restaurants to enjoy afterward!
What should I bring?
We highly suggest bringing a bottle of water and some comfortable walking shoes. In the summer months it can be hot and the sun can be strong. It would be advisable to wear sun screen.
Do I need to book ahead of time?

How long are the tours?
Discover Charleston! covers about 1.5 miles and lasts approximately 90 minutes.
Real Hauntings of Charleston! covers about 1 mile and lasts approximately 1.5 hours
What if the weather is bad?
Tours will run rain or shine. If there are unsafe weather conditions, tours will be rescheduled. If there are no opportunities for rescheduling then a refund can be given.
Where about parking?
There is a public parking garage at 25 Prioleau Street. The East Bay / Prioleau Street garage is about 1 block away from the meeting area.
Are there bathrooms?
It is strongly encouraged that you use the facilities prior to meeting your tour. Public bathrooms can be found at the East Bay / Prioleau Street garage at 25 Prioleau Street.
What is your cancellation policy?
Reservations may be cancelled and refunds given up to 24 hours prior to the start time of your tour. Changes and rescheduling can be made up to 2 hours before the start time of your tour.
Is it wheelchair or stroller friendly?
Families with children and handicapped individuals are welcome anytime. Please note that as we are an historic city, there is quite a bit of old and uneven walkways and pavement. We will always make every effort to make our guests feel our true southern hospitality.
Are pets allowed?
We love our pets too, however we do not allow them on our tours.
Can we take photos or video?
Please take all the photos and video you like. We would politely ask that you do not record your guide stories.
Can I tip my guide?
Tips are always appreciated!
